A parenting support programme for parents and carers of autistic children and young people aged 5-18.
Parents of autistic children face the usual positive and difficult challenges of parenting and quite a few more. Attending Cygnet gives parents and carers an opportunity to develop their understanding of autism and look at practical solutions to support their child.
It also provides the opportunity to meet other people in a similar position and hear about their experiences in an informal but supportive atmosphere.
This FREE course is run by Aireborough Family Services at our office in Albion House. To find out more, please contact Karen Coburn.
We are running 2 courses in 2025 as follows:
Thursdays from 6th February to 3rd April 09:30 - 12:00 (7 weeks - excluding half-term)
Thursdays (dates TBC) 16:00 - 18:30 over the school summer holidays
Due to high demand, we already have a waiting list and will be contacting parents in due course. If you would like to be placed on our waiting list, please contact [email protected]. Please note: the course is available for parents of children attending the 14 schools in our cluster and who either have a diagnosis of autism, or are on the pathway for a diagnosis.
